 CURBING OPEN DEFECATION: LASG, WATERAID, PRIVATE SECTOR COLLABORATE TO BUILD 350 PUBLIC TOILETS IN LAGOS  The Lagos State Government, in collaboration with WaterAid Plan and private operators, is set to build 350 more public toilets across the state to curb widespread open defecation and maintain hygiene and sanitation.  This is just as the State WaterAid team lead gave a projection that by 2028, the organisation will reach 10 million residents directly and another 17 million indirectly through interventions with basic Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) access. Speaking at a roundtable over the weekend, the Special Adviser on Environment, Engr. Olakunle Rotimi-Akodu said work has started on some of the toilets including identifying the locations for them.  GOVERNOR UZODIMMA CELEBRATES DECADE OF MARITAL BLISS 


In a heartwarming ceremony held at the Imo Government House Chapel, Governor Hope Uzodimma renewed his 10-year vow to his wife, Her Excellency, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, in the presence of family members, friends, distinguished dignitaries, and well-wishers. The occasion was marked with a grand reception as the Governor reaffirmed his commitment to the woman he described as "the bloom of spring in my heart, a rose without thorn."


Governor Uzodimma, in an emotional remark to his wife, praised her for being his anchor through the demanding whirlwinds of public service and for embodying love and grace in raising their children.


"For me, youā€™ve been an inspiration, the gentle push I need to dream bigger, to aim higher," he continued, expressing his deep appreciation for her unwavering support. "My heart is thine, as steadfast as the stars above, because I love you to the moon and back. Together, weā€™ve built a life so rich in joy, and I thank God for the beauty of us."


The Governor also acknowledged the role of divine guidance in their union, praying for Godā€™s continued presence in their home as they journey together in love and faith.


The ceremony, filled with moments of joy and reflection, served as a testament to the enduring bond between the couple. It was a touching reminder of the power of love and commitment, even in the demanding world of leadership.
