 Mark Consuelos details 'brutal five-month saga' before his father's death: 'I miss my dad' Mark Consuelos has spoken candidly about the loss of his father, Saul Consuelos, who passed away on March 23 after a long illness.  Appearing on the I’ve Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario podcast, the Live with Kelly and Mark co-host reflected on the painful five-month period leading up to his father’s death.  He recalled knowing the end was near but admitted that the reality of the loss still hit him hard.  Consuelos shared that he was able to say goodbye while working on the Broadway play Fallen Angels, and though he later learned of his father’s passing during rehearsals, the production served as a welcome distraction.  Heavy Rainfall, Flooding Prompt South Africa to Shut Border with Botswana


The South African Border Management Authority has temporarily closed the Grobler’s Bridge border crossing with Botswana due to severe rainfall and flooding.


The crossing, located in northern South Africa, is a vital trade route for miners in the Copperbelt region spanning Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, facilitating the transport of goods to Durban’s port.


In a statement, the authority explained, “After consultations with our Botswana counterparts and thorough deliberation by the Port Management Committee, the temporary suspension of operations was deemed necessary to ensure safety.”


Travelers and truck operators have been advised to seek alternative routes.


The border links Botswana with South Africa’s Limpopo Province, which recently experienced heavy rains over the weekend.
