 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. ILLINOIS MAN FOUNDS PRESENT FOR HIMSELF DATING BACK FROM THE 70'S INSIDE OF THE WALLS OF HIS FAMILY HOME.(PHOTO).

 Illinois man finds present for himself dating back from the 70's inside of the walls of his family home.


Tim King of Lombard, Illinois was recently doing some renovations in the home belonging to his family for 3 generations.  As he was getting ready to put new drywall up in a small bathroom in his parents' home, he decided to look in the walls. 


That's when Tim was completely shocked to find an old Christmas present wrapped in vintage Disney paper! After closer inspection, Tim discovered he was holding one of his own presents from a Christmas many decades ago. The general consensus is that the present was from around 1978 and had fallen between the walls and was lost.


After finding the present, Tim notified his Mom about the present and waited on her before opening the present.


Upon opening the long lost present, Tim found himself to be the proud owner of a set of Matchbox Thunder Jets. He said they would have been an awesome gift for his 6-year-old self. 


We believe an unexpected trip down a nostalgic Christmas memory lane is a pretty awesome present for his adult self. ♥️
