 Sao Tome and Principe president dismisses government Sao Tome and Principe's president has dismissed the government over an "inability" to resolve problems facing the African state and "frequent" absences by the prime minister, AFP reported. The decision by President Carlos Vila Nova was announced in a decree dated Monday and published on the presidency's Facebook page. It highlighted a "notable inability" by Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada's government "to provide solutions" to the country in the face of "the scale of existing problems." It also pointed to "frequent and prolonged periods of absence by the prime minister... from the national territory." Seventy-two hours to replace PM Both the president and premier are members of the centre-right Independent Democratic Action (ADI) party, which won parliamentary elections in 2022. ILLINOIS MAN FOUNDS PRESENT FOR HIMSELF DATING BACK FROM THE 70'S INSIDE OF THE WALLS OF HIS FAMILY HOME.(PHOTO).

 Illinois man finds present for himself dating back from the 70's inside of the walls of his family home.


Tim King of Lombard, Illinois was recently doing some renovations in the home belonging to his family for 3 generations.  As he was getting ready to put new drywall up in a small bathroom in his parents' home, he decided to look in the walls. 


That's when Tim was completely shocked to find an old Christmas present wrapped in vintage Disney paper! After closer inspection, Tim discovered he was holding one of his own presents from a Christmas many decades ago. The general consensus is that the present was from around 1978 and had fallen between the walls and was lost.


After finding the present, Tim notified his Mom about the present and waited on her before opening the present.


Upon opening the long lost present, Tim found himself to be the proud owner of a set of Matchbox Thunder Jets. He said they would have been an awesome gift for his 6-year-old self. 


We believe an unexpected trip down a nostalgic Christmas memory lane is a pretty awesome present for his adult self. ♥️

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
