  Embattled Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau says he will resign after new party leader chosen Justin Trudeau has said he intends to step down after nine years as Canadian prime minister in the face of a mounting set of crises, leaving office once a new ruling party leader is chosen. “I intend to resign as party leader, as prime minister, after the party selects its new leader,” the 53-year-old leader told reporters at a news conference in Ottawa on Monday. “I care deeply about this country and I will always be motivated by what is in the best interests of Canadians. And the fact is, despite best efforts to work through it, parliament has been paralyzed for months after what has been the longest session of a minority parliament in Canadian history,” he said, adding that the country’s parliament will be suspended until March 24 while a new leader is chosen.  ‘I’m waiting on the Lord for kids’ – Eniola Badmus


Famous Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has tearfully disclosed that she is waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb.

The actress made this known while soliciting prayers from fans during her ‘Feed The Needy’ outreach in collaboration with Seyi Tinubu.

While addressing the crowd on stage, Badmus was captured in a vulnerable moment, opening up about her desire to have children.

In a now trending video on social media, she said, “Please always mention me, Eniola Badmus, in your prayers.

“I’m waiting upon the Lord for children, please pray for me and for more opportunities so that I can serve you better. With your prayers and God by my side, I will continue to work together with you all and achieve a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow for many of our people.”

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
