 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results.  Keeping Markets Clean is Non-Negotiable – ACTDA MD Tells Umuokpu Market Executive

The Managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) Mr. Ossy Onuko, has reaffirmed the importance of maintaining cleanliness and proper organization in markets as a fundamental requirement for their operation. He made this assertion during a courtesy visit by the newly elected executive of Umuokpu Building Materials Market, Awka South Local Government Area, to his office.


Speaking during the visit, Mr. Onuko emphasized the need for market leaders to uphold high sanitation standards and adhere strictly to government regulations. He warned against uncleanliness and unauthorized constructions in market spaces, highlighting that government would not tolerate such practices. He further charged the executive to take responsibility for ensuring a clean and orderly market environment.


Congratulating the new executive on their election, Mr. Onuko reassured the delegation of government dedication to market development under Governor Chukwuma Soludo's administration, revealing plans to commence a mechanic village project in February, aimed at enhancing market organization and improving urban spaces in Awka.


“Cleanliness and organization in markets are non-negotiable. We are committed to supporting market growth but compliance with government regulations must be prioritized, together we can achieve sustainable development,” Mr. Onuko said.


Earlier, the Chairman of Umuokpu Building Materials Market, Chief Ndubuisi Igwebuike highlighted the market challenges, including poor road, unresolved disputes among traders and inadequate facilities. He commended Governor Soludo's transformative efforts in Awka and appealed for more government support to address these pressing issues.


“Addressing these challenges will not only improve the market operations but will also enhance its revenue generating potential for the state,” Chief Igwebuike noted.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
