 Anambra Govt Warns Against Purchase of Encroached Land at Trans-Nkissi By MaryAnn Chukwuma The Anambra State Ministry of Lands has warned members of the public against purchasing plots at TransNkissi Phase 1, behind the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, from persons claiming ownership on behalf of the Umuosodi family of Onitsha. The warning was contained in a public notice dated Sept. 28, 2026, with Ref. No. PS/ML/2026/CR/VOL.II/028 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe, for the Commissioner. According to the notice, the Ministry became aware that persons alleged to be members of the Umuosodi family had invaded and commenced clearing portions of the land with the intention of selling them to unsuspecting members of the public. It said compensatory plots had been allocated to the family and other families in Onitsha before the current administration.  LAUTECH Students Protest Over Lecturer Absences and Rising Transportation Costs


On January 20, 2025, students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Iseyin campus, staged a protest against the ongoing absence of their lecturers. The Iseyin campus, which houses the College of Agriculture, was established by Governor Seyi Makinde as part of Oyo State's educational initiative.


The students voiced their frustration over the repeated absence of lecturers who travel from the Ogbomoso campus, and also expressed concern over the increased transportation and accommodation costs since the resumption of classes after the last holiday.


One anonymous student shared that agriculture department students were also protesting the lack of necessary facilities at their farms and raising concerns about transportation and housing costs. The students are calling on the state government and the education committee to intervene and resolve the issues promptly.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
