 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.  Liverpool vs Man Utd: Amorim plots Liverpool downfall as Slot aims for EPL double.


The stage is set for two old rivals, Manchester United and Liverpool, to battle in the Premier League Northwest Derby on Sunday evening at Anfield.


Liverpool head to the game following a 5-0 thrashing of West Ham United in their last game.


Liverpool manager, Arne Slot had confirmed that Joe Gomez will not take part against Man United due to injury.


Slot also provided the latest update on Conor Bradley and Ibrahima Konate.


Slot’s men currently top the Premier League table with 45 points from 18 games.


Man United, on the other hand, have a new manager Ruben Amorim who took over from Erik ten Hag last year.


Amorim has got off to a poor start to life at Old Trafford, losing six out of the eleven matches incharge of Man United so far.


The Portuguese had confirmed that forward Marcus Rashford is ill and won’t take part in the game


He also confirmed that Jonny Evans, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof will miss the Merseyside clash.


But the likes of Manuel Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes are available for selection after serving one-match bans.


Amorim’s side currently sit in the 14th position on the Premier League table with 22 points after 19 matches.


However, a win at Anfield today would give Slot a statement league double wins over Man United and further consolidate their lead in the title race.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
