 “No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC).  ‘My dad made me feel broke’ – Davido


Famous Nigerian musician David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has revealed that his father’s wealth made him feel broke.


Davido made this known during his latest interview in Paris.


DAILY POST recalls that Davido, on Thursday, appeared at Amiri’s Fall/Winter show at Paris Fashion Week 2025, held at Palais de Tokyo, alongside singer Omah Lay.


Speaking in a trending interview snippet on social media, Davido was asked who has ever made him feel broke despite his wealth.


Interviewer: “In your life, have you ever met someone who made you feel broke?”


Davido replied: “Yeah, my dad.”


The singer said this months after he stated in an interview that it took years for him to realize that his father is a very wealthy man.


Davido is one of Nigeria’s richest musicians.
