Nigerian gospel icon Nathaniel Bassey invited to Trump’s inaugural prayer breakfast
Renowned Nigerian pastor and gospel minister, Nathaniel Bassey, has received a prestigious invitation to minister at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
The event, set for January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C., will precede the swearing-in ceremony of Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance.
The gathering, which is a non-governmental and non-political affair, will be hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner.
In 2024, he was honoured by the Mayor of Albany, New York, who declared October 6 as “Pastor Nathaniel Bassey Day” in recognition of his contributions to gospel music and his positive impact on communities worldwide.
