 Tinubu saved Fubara from impeachment – Obidike Suspended Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara should be grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for saving him from impeachment, and All Progressives Chieftain, Hon Obidike Chukwuebuka, has stated.  He said Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State saved Fubara from the shame. Reacting to the development on Wednesday, Obidike said: “While details of the alleged impeachment threat are scarce, President Tinubu’s involvement has significantly shaped Rivers State’s political landscape.  “His commitment to promoting peace and stability was evident in a recent meeting with Governor Fubara and stakeholders, emphasizing unity and cooperation. “As the situation unfolds, Governor Fubara’s fate remains closely tied to President Tinubu’s influence, with potential far-reaching implications for the state’s politics.”

NFL and New Orleans Saints Pledge $1 Million for Victims of Bourbon Street Truck Attack


The New Orleans Saints and the NFL have pledged a combined $1 million to support the victims of a deadly truck attack on Bourbon Street that occurred on New Year’s Day. The donation includes $1 million from the Saints and a matching amount from the NFL Foundation, the league’s charitable arm. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expressed solidarity with the New Orleans community, emphasizing the league’s commitment to providing aid during this tragic time.


Thirteen of the 14 victims have been identified, with ages ranging from 18 to 63. Saints owner Gayle Benson expressed the collective heartbreak felt by the city, acknowledging the devastating impact of the attack. The tragedy has left the community reeling as it mourns the lives lost and supports those affected by the violence.
