 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Nigerian-American Woman Returns $5,700 Found in Workplace Restroom


Victoria Ogunremi, a Nigerian-American based in New Jersey, returned $5,700 she discovered in the restroom at her workplace. Her act of honesty has been widely praised by her employer, colleagues, and the money’s owner, who expressed immense gratitude.


In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, Ogunremi revealed that her decision was driven by empathy for the person who lost the money and her strong Christian values.


“I didn’t hesitate because my faith teaches me that honesty brings peace of mind. The thought of the distress this loss could cause inspired me to act,” she explained.


Ogunremi located the money’s owner before notifying her workplace management, who commended her integrity. She noted that her late father’s teachings on morality have shaped her life and emphasized the importance of instilling such values in future generations.


“Whether someone is watching or not, doing the right thing matters. A good name is priceless, and peace of mind is golden,” Ogunremi said, adding that honesty always outweighs material gain.


Her selfless act has been celebrated as a testament to integrity and compassion, offering a shining example of doing what is right even in challenging circumstances.
