 POLICE REFORMS: IGP DISU RESTRUCTURES MONITORING UNIT, APPOINTS DCP ALIYU ABUBAKAR AS HEAD OF THE UNIT The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, has approved the comprehensive restructuring of the Police Monitoring Unit as part of ongoing institutional reforms aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness, strengthening internal oversight, and reinforcing discipline across the Nigeria Police Force. The restructuring is necessitated by the need to refocus the Unit on its core mandate, address identified operational inefficiencies, and reposition it as a credible and effective internal accountability mechanism within the Force. As part of the reorganisation, the Unit has been streamlined and strengthened to enhance proactive monitoring, intelligence-driven inspections, and real-time oversight of police personnel and operations across Commands, Formations, and Departments.  OPERATION ZERO POTHOLES IN PROGRESS  - MAYOR ENSURES

In a significant move to enhance road safety in Onitsha North LGA, The Mayor, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, has ensured quality road repairs for a Traffic-Free Christmas and beyond.

 

Tony Nwora, is actively supervising the ongoing project themed "Operation Zero Potholes" in Onitsha North to enhance road safety and improve the quality of life for residents.


This impactful project aims to repair all problematic potholes across the Council area using high-quality asphalt. The City Mayor is committed to ensuring that residents enjoy a smooth and traffic-free celebration and beyond.


The Mayor's hands-on approach reflects his dedication to overseeing the work and ensuring that the team delivers exceptional results. Residents of Onitsha North can be rest assured that their welfare and the development of the community remain top priorities for him.


The Operation Zero Potholes project, which aligns with the transformative agenda of Mr. Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to transform Anambra State into a livable, clean, enjoyable, and sustainable homeland, did not only aims to enhance road infrastructure but also underscores the Mayor's commitment to the progress and well-being of the citizens.
