 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion.  PDP Governors’ Forum pays condolence visit to Makinde over brother’s passing


Peoples Democratic Party, Governors Forum, have joined scores of mourners to pay condolences visit on Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, over the demise of his sibling, Engineer Sunday Makinde.


Bauchi State Governor, cum Chairman of the forum, Bala Mohammed and Rivers state’s Governor, Siminalaye Fubara, who doubled as the vice Chairman, brought the condolence message of the forum to Governor Makinde at his Ikolaba residence.


Delivering the message, Governor Mohammed, said despite knowing Governor Makinde to be a strong person, there is need to show solidarity to the bereaved as an African tradition.


According to Governor Mohammed, the deceased, Engineer Sunday Makinde lived a fulfilled life, having contributed positively to the growth and development of Nigeria.


The Bauchi state Governor, prayed God to give Governor Makinde, immediate family of the deceased and people of the state, fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.


Responding, Governor Makinde, admitting that God is unquestionable, said the inevitable occurred to his brother when he was about to settle down and enjoy life.


Governor Makinde, on behalf of Makinde family and people of Oyo State appreciated the PDP Governors Forum for visit.
