 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Police Declare 51-Year-Old Man Missing in Ekiti, Seek Public Assistance


The Ekiti State Police Command has declared Alhaji Odema Moses, a resident of Olatuji Street, Off Federal Poly Road, Ado-Ekiti, missing.


According to the police, Moses left home on December 19, 2024, and has not returned since.


In a statement released on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abutu Sunday, confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine his whereabouts.


Describing the missing man, SP Sunday said, "He is 51 years old, light-skinned, without tribal marks, 5.8 feet tall, and speaks English fluently."


The Police have appealed to the public for assistance, urging anyone with relevant information to contact the nearest police station or call 09064050086.
