 ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECEIVES AND AUGMENTS IGP’S MONITORING UNIT OPERATIVES ON ENFORCEMENT OF POLICE PERSONNEL WITHDRAWAL FROM VIP ESCORT DUTIES IN THE STATE The Anambra State Police Command today 8th December 2025 formally received operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s Monitoring Unit deployed to the state to ensure full implementation of the IGP’s directive on the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP escort and guard duties. The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts targeted at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and optimal deployment of police manpower nationwide. The CP noted that the withdrawal of these officers will help to strengthen public policing, improve response capacity, and ensure that more personnel are available for core policing duties across the state.  Police Declare 51-Year-Old Man Missing in Ekiti, Seek Public Assistance


The Ekiti State Police Command has declared Alhaji Odema Moses, a resident of Olatuji Street, Off Federal Poly Road, Ado-Ekiti, missing.


According to the police, Moses left home on December 19, 2024, and has not returned since.


In a statement released on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abutu Sunday, confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine his whereabouts.


Describing the missing man, SP Sunday said, "He is 51 years old, light-skinned, without tribal marks, 5.8 feet tall, and speaks English fluently."


The Police have appealed to the public for assistance, urging anyone with relevant information to contact the nearest police station or call 09064050086.
