 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Prince William and Catherine Mourn Death of Tiggy Pettifer's Stepson


Prince William and Catherine expressed their shock and sorrow over the tragic death of Edward Pettifer, the stepson of their former nanny, Tiggy Pettifer. Edward, 31, was among 14 victims killed in a horrific vehicle attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day. The attack, carried out by a 42-year-old US Army veteran who drove a truck into crowds on Bourbon Street, left over 39 injured, several critically. Authorities identified the suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, as the lone perpetrator, and ISIS-related materials were discovered in his vehicle.


The Pettifer family, mourning their loss, remembered Edward as a cherished family member and friend. King Charles and Prince Harry have both expressed their condolences privately, with the royal family offering their thoughts and prayers to all affected by the devastating incident.
