 Rema Becomes First African Artist on Rolling Stone Cover Nigerian music star Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has made history as the first African artist to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. The American publication, renowned for its coverage of music, politics, and pop culture, announced Rema as the cover star for its April 2025 edition. Mavin Records celebrated the achievement on Instagram, calling him the “Afrobeats Visionary.” Following the announcement, Rema delivered an electrifying performance at the Rolling Stone concert, thrilling audiences with hits like Dumebi, Woman, and Calm Down. This milestone further solidifies Rema’s influence in global music, coming shortly after his feature on Dazed magazine.  Prince William and Catherine Mourn Death of Tiggy Pettifer's Stepson


Prince William and Catherine expressed their shock and sorrow over the tragic death of Edward Pettifer, the stepson of their former nanny, Tiggy Pettifer. Edward, 31, was among 14 victims killed in a horrific vehicle attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day. The attack, carried out by a 42-year-old US Army veteran who drove a truck into crowds on Bourbon Street, left over 39 injured, several critically. Authorities identified the suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, as the lone perpetrator, and ISIS-related materials were discovered in his vehicle.


The Pettifer family, mourning their loss, remembered Edward as a cherished family member and friend. King Charles and Prince Harry have both expressed their condolences privately, with the royal family offering their thoughts and prayers to all affected by the devastating incident.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
