 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Serie A: Lookman scoops Atalanta’s December Goal of the Month.


Ademola Lookman has won Atalanta’s Goal of the Month for December.


Lookman won the award for his brilliant strike in Gian Piero Gasperini’s side 3-2 UEFA Champions League defeat to Real Madrid on December 10.


The winger fired past Thibaut Courtois after turning Lucas Vazquez inside the box.


The 27-year-old won 46% of the votes, with Belgium Charles De Ketelaere coming second with 38% votes.


Tommaso Del Lungo and Andrea Bonanomi came third and fourth respectively.


It’s the first time Lookman will be winning the individual accolade this season.
