 Rema Becomes First African Artist on Rolling Stone Cover Nigerian music star Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has made history as the first African artist to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. The American publication, renowned for its coverage of music, politics, and pop culture, announced Rema as the cover star for its April 2025 edition. Mavin Records celebrated the achievement on Instagram, calling him the “Afrobeats Visionary.” Following the announcement, Rema delivered an electrifying performance at the Rolling Stone concert, thrilling audiences with hits like Dumebi, Woman, and Calm Down. This milestone further solidifies Rema’s influence in global music, coming shortly after his feature on Dazed magazine.  Shina Peller Addresses Rumors About Relationship with TikTok Star Peller


Former federal lawmaker Shina Peller has clarified that he is not related to the popular TikTok star, Peller, despite sharing the same surname.


In an interview, Shina Peller explained that although the Professor Peller family is well-known, the TikTok star is not part of it.


He stated, "I have heard about the TikTok star named Peller, and many people have asked me if he is related to our family. While the Professor Peller family is indeed large, he is not one of us. The name ‘Peller’ was given to our father because of his career as a magician, and it's a name we have continued to use."


Shina Peller further remarked, "Peller, the comedian, is simply capitalizing on the name. It's a successful name, and he’s managed to make it work for himself. However, I can confirm that he is not part of the Peller family."

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
