 Rape Suspect Escapes from Police Custody in Rivers State A male suspect, identified simply as Goodnews, who allegedly defiled a 16-year-old girl in the Rupokwu community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, last week, has escaped from police custody. The case was being investigated by the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Port Harcourt. It was gathered that the suspect escaped when the scene of the crime was visited as part of the investigation procedures. The suspect was earlier arrested by operatives of the Special Area Rumudomaya and transferred to the State CID, Port Harcourt, last week. According to the father of the alleged defilement victim, Mr. Prince, when they arrived at the scene of the crime, which is their compound, the suspect, who was not handcuffed by the Investigating Police Officer, was having difficulty opening the padlock on his door.  Shina Peller Addresses Rumors About Relationship with TikTok Star Peller


Former federal lawmaker Shina Peller has clarified that he is not related to the popular TikTok star, Peller, despite sharing the same surname.


In an interview, Shina Peller explained that although the Professor Peller family is well-known, the TikTok star is not part of it.


He stated, "I have heard about the TikTok star named Peller, and many people have asked me if he is related to our family. While the Professor Peller family is indeed large, he is not one of us. The name ‘Peller’ was given to our father because of his career as a magician, and it's a name we have continued to use."


Shina Peller further remarked, "Peller, the comedian, is simply capitalizing on the name. It's a successful name, and he’s managed to make it work for himself. However, I can confirm that he is not part of the Peller family."
