OTTI RECEIVES THE 2023 PDP DEPUTY GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE IN ABIA INTO THE LABOUR PARTY, VOWS NOT TO GIVE UP UNTIL HIS MISSION IS ACCOMPLISHED FOR THE STATE  Abia State Governor, His Excellency, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, says he will not give up or be distracted until he completes his God given mission in Abia State. Governor Otti stated this on Monday, April 20, when he received in his office, the former Deputy Governorship Candidate of PDP in Abia State and founder of Ihe Abia Organisation, Dr Jasper Uche, who recently dumped the PDP for Labour Party.  Governor Otti noted that he is encouraged by the disposition of Dr Uche both in appreciating his modest efforts in the State and his commitment to his job outside politics. THE FG HAS PROHIBITED MILITARY PERSONNEL FROM ENGAGING IN ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR SUBORDINATES OR THE SPOUSES OF THEIR SUBORDINATES. (PHOTO).


 The Federal Government has prohibited military personnel from engaging in romantic relationships with their subordinates or the spouses of their subordinates.  


Additionally, Nigerian military members are strictly forbidden from participating in homosexuality, lesbianism, bestiality, cross-dressing, and other activities deemed incompatible with the values of the armed forces.  


They are also barred from body piercing, tattooing, disorderly behavior, intoxication on or off duty, and any actions that could bring public disgrace.  


These rules are outlined in Section 26 of the updated “Harmonised Armed Forces Terms and Conditions of Service”, signed by President Bola Tinubu on December 16, 2024.  


According to the section:  

- Officers must not engage in activities related to the LGBTQIA2S+ community or cross-dressing.  

- Body piercings, tattoos, drunkenness, and public brawls are prohibited.  

- Relationships with subordinates, or with the spouses of fellow officers or subordinates, are strictly forbidden.  


Furthermore, military personnel are required to promptly fulfill financial obligations, such as vehicle licensing and insurance. Membership in secret societies or political parties is also prohibited.
