 Hardship: Bricklayer absconds as wife gives birth to triplets in Ondo A bricklayer identified as Bayo Jeje has allegedly absconded from home after his wife gave birth to a set of triplets at a private hospital in Igbokoda in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State. Jeje was said to have disappeared after some midwives and nurses at the hospital told him his wife, Iyanu Ehuwa Jeje, gave birth to three baby boys. The incident took place on Tuesday, causing confusion inside the facility of the Aribo Hospital in Ilaje as the health workers raised the alarm about the whereabouts of  Jeje. Sources at the hospital told Daily Trust that the man left his wife and the newborns stranded in the hospital.  Trevor Noah to Host 2025 Grammy Awards for Fifth Straight Year


Renowned South African comedian and producer Trevor Noah has been announced as the host of the 67th Grammy Awards, marking his fifth consecutive year in the role since 2021.


The prestigious event is scheduled to take place on February 2, 2025, in Los Angeles, with Nigerian Afrobeats stars making significant waves in the African Song Performance categories.


Burna Boy secured a nomination for his hit single "Higher," while Asake earned a nod for his collaboration with Wizkid on "MMS." Tems stands out as the only African artist with three nominations across global music categories.


Other notable Nigerian artists on the nominees' list include Davido, Yemi Alade, and Lojay.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
