‘I’ll turn off the mic’ — Remi Tinubu reins in Adeleke’s singing at Ooni’s anniversary First Lady Oluremi Tinubu cautioned Ademola Adeleke, the Osun state governor, for prolonged singing during his remarks at the 10th coronation anniversary celebration of Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife. The moment, captured in a now-viral video, occurred as the governor mounted the podium on Sunday to pay tribute to the monarch and to congratulate the Remi on her newly bestowed chieftaincy title, Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua. Rather than proceed immediately with his formal message, Adeleke, popularly known as the “Dancing Governor” for his spirited public appearances, burst into a short musical chant, drawing laughter from parts of the audience. Remi, who had moments earlier received her traditional title from the Ooni, walked towards the podium, gestured lightly to the governor, and whispered to him to proceed with his statement. “Go ahead,” she was heard saying, in an attempt to steer the ev...

Wendy Williams Says Diddy Is Going to Prison for Life: ‘You Don’t Know the Things That I Know’

The former Wendy Williams Show host offered up her prediction on Diddy’s fate in a Thursday, January 16, interview with Charlamagne tha God on “The Breakfast Club.”

“Diddy will go to prison for life, people,” she said. “You don’t know the things that I know about Diddy back in the day.”

Though Williams, 60, did not elaborate further, she has a long history with Diddy, 55. Their feud dates back to 1998 when Williams was fired from her radio show on Hot 97. She blamed the music mogul, whom she had spoken out about multiple times on her show.

You know what? It’s about time, people. It is about time. Diddy done,” she added on Thursday

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering and faces numerous accusations of sexual assault. He has pleaded not guilty and denied all the allegations against him.

“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” his attorney Marc Agnifilo told Us Weekly in a statement at the time of his indictment. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community.”

He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal,” he continued. “To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Shortly after his arrest, Williams reacted to the accusations against Diddy and the video that surfaced last year of him physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie.

“What is really weird is that I have been told by so many people, ‘Wendy, you called it,’” she told the Daily Mail in October 2024. “Including some people from my family who have said the same. You know how I feel about that? It is about time. To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummeled … it was just horrific. But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible.”

Diddy is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial later this year.
