 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Why I performed at Onikijipa’s daughter’s wedding same day I lost my mother — K1 De Ultimate


Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has explained the reasons for his performance at the wedding ceremony of the daughter of renowned Nigerian Sheikh, Faruq Onikijipa, on the same day he lost his mother. Alhaja Halimot Shadiya Anifowoshe, who die*d at the age of 105 on Saturday.


Shortly after bury*ing his late mother in Ijebu, Ogun State, earlier in the day, the Fuji star made his way to the wedding, which took place at Balmoral, Federal Palace, Victoria Island, Lagos State.


Reflecting on his lo*ss while performing at the wedding ceremony, K1 revealed the profound impact of his mother’s dea*th on him.


However, he emphasised that the special bond he shares with Sheikh Onikijipa made him attend and perform at the wedding against all odds.


According to him, his friendship with Onikijipa dates back in time, stressing that they have been friends since their youth.


He also used the opportunity to invite guests at the event to the Fidau prayers for his mother, scheduled to take place on Friday, 24 January 2025, in Ijebu, Ogun State.
