 Family seeks help as kidnapper abducts five-year-old daughter in Lagos The family of Memunah Abdulrahman is appealing to the public for assistance after their five-year-old daughter was abducted by a suspected kidnapper in the Ejigbo area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt on Tuesday that the missing girl was abducted on March 9, 2025, while she and her sister were returning from an Islamic school. According to sources, upon reaching a popular supermarket in the community, the suspect approached Abdulrahman and her sister and led them inside the store. While pretending to buy them some items at the supermarket, PUNCH Metro gathered that the suspect disappeared with Memunah, leaving her sister behind. After the incident was reported at the Ejigbo Divisional Police Headquarters, the police reviewed the CCTV footage, which revealed the suspect abducting the child and escaping in a tricycle.  Y2025 BECE: LAGOS EXAM BOARD KICK-STARTS E-REGISTRATION, PAYMENT


The Lagos State Government, through its Examinations Board, has kick-started the e-Registration and Payment for the Year 2025 Basic Education and Certificate Examination (BECE), on Monday, January 27th and scheduled to end on Friday, April 26, 2025.


The e-Registration and Payment are in line with the Lagos State Government policy to ensure a seamless and hitch-free registration process which does not require School owners' physical presence at the Examinations Board.


Speaking on the process, the Director, Mr. Orunsolu Adebayo stated that Schools are to use the newly issued code to facilitate the registration process and Public Junior Secondary Schools will be expected to download their Offline Data Capturing Application via https://bece.examsboard.lagosstate.gov.ng. 


Likewise, Approved Private Junior Secondary Schools, Schools with Special Permission and Continuing Education Centers (CEC) should visit the Lagos State Examination Board Portal via https://pay.examsboard.com.ng for payment registration to generate a username and password.


Mr. Orunsolu confirmed that approved Private Junior Secondary Schools and approved Public Continuing Education Centers (CEC) are to pay the sum of #6,000.00 (Six Thousand Naira Only), while Junior Secondary Schools with Special Permission/CEC will pay #9,500.00 (Nine Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only), for the Registration.


Speaking further, he noted that Schools with special candidates with visual challenges/albinos should inform the Lagos State Examinations Board in writing, to facilitate adequate preparations for such candidates before commencement of the examinations. 


The Director urged Schools to adhere to the guidelines and procedures for payment and registration, adding that late registration may attract additional penalty and further information on the mode of payment, where necessary, would be made available to Schools through their Zonal Officers.
