 Court Jails Two for N14.8m Fraud in Maiduguri Justice B.T Zannah of the Borno State High Court sitting in Maiduguri, on Monday, July 13, 2026 convicted and sentenced two to three years imprisonment. The convicts are: Babagana Bukar and Hauwa Chabri.  The convicts were arraigned on Monday, July 13, 2026 by the Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a separate one -count charge for the offence of criminal misappropriation to the tune of N14,800,000.00 (Fourteen  Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira). The charge against Bukar reads: "That you, Babagana Bukar sometimes in 2025 at Maiduguri, Borno State within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, dishonestly misappropriated and converted to your own use the aggregate sum of N8,800,000.00 (Eight Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira)  money belonging to Bunu Gambo Liman, being amount given to you through Babakura Umar and Bello Adamu for the supplies of 100 bags of IRS...

 16 Years Old Boy Stabbed his Grandmother to Death and ran away with ₦4 million Naira and Gold Jewelry . 


The people of Pako Police Station, Amukoko Roundabout under Ajeromi Ifelodun local Government area, Lagos has been mourning a Business women and grandma who was stabbed by her grandson to death and ran a way with 4Million Naira and Gold Jewelry.


According to sources, the boy was leaving with his grandmother who mostly travels to Cotonou,Benin Republic to buy goods and sell in Nigeria.


On Friday the 21st of February 2025,the grandmother was set to travel to Cotonou the next day (Saturday), when her grandson noticed she was in possession of N4 million naira . He decide to stab his grandma to death on Friday night and escaped with the money and Gold Jewelry.


Nobody notice the death of the grandma on till Sunday 23rd of February 2025 which is 3days after when one of the family members payed the grandma a visit.It was now clear to the relative that the grandmother was dead because she was found in her pool of blood with three knifes. 

The grandson has been declared wanted.
