 NAFDAC Reopens Onitsha Drug Market After Month-Long Closure The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has reopened the Onitsha Head Bridge drug market, popularly known as 'Ogbo Ogwu', after a month-long closure for sanitization and regulatory enforcement. The market was shut down as part of NAFDAC's nationwide clampdown on fake and substandard medicines. To prevent a recurrence of the issues that led to the closure, NAFDAC has implemented strict administrative conditions for reopening. Shop owners are required to complete documentation and clearance procedures before their shops can be unsealed. A dedicated NAFDAC desk has been established to facilitate the process efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.² According to NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, only shops that meet the conditions will be allowed to resume operations.  16 Years Old Boy Stabbed his Grandmother to Death and ran away with ₦4 million Naira and Gold Jewelry . 


The people of Pako Police Station, Amukoko Roundabout under Ajeromi Ifelodun local Government area, Lagos has been mourning a Business women and grandma who was stabbed by her grandson to death and ran a way with 4Million Naira and Gold Jewelry.


According to sources, the boy was leaving with his grandmother who mostly travels to Cotonou,Benin Republic to buy goods and sell in Nigeria.


On Friday the 21st of February 2025,the grandmother was set to travel to Cotonou the next day (Saturday), when her grandson noticed she was in possession of N4 million naira . He decide to stab his grandma to death on Friday night and escaped with the money and Gold Jewelry.


Nobody notice the death of the grandma on till Sunday 23rd of February 2025 which is 3days after when one of the family members payed the grandma a visit.It was now clear to the relative that the grandmother was dead because she was found in her pool of blood with three knifes. 

The grandson has been declared wanted.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
