 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. A MISSISSIPPI MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED AFTER A YOUNG WOMAN WAS FOUND FATALLY BEATEN IN A MOTEL ROOM. (PHOTO).

A Mississippi man has been arrested after a young woman was found fatally beaten in a motel room. 


Police were called to the CYO Townhouse in North Jackson, Mississippi at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan 4th. Once on scene, officials discovered the deceased and horribly beaten body of 21-year-old, Jessenia Cruz. 


According to Jackson PD Chief Joseph Wade, Cruz had lost her life, "in the most brutal way.' He shared, "She received some very, very large traumatic injuries and trauma to her body." He continued, "She lost her life last night at the hands of someone who literally beat her to death."


Police would eventually identify a suspect and the search would begin. Finally, an arrest was made at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday when authorities took 24-year-old Joshua Boothe into custody.  


Joshua Boothe was charged with murder and had his bond set at 2 million dollars.


Our thoughts are with Jessenia and everyone that loved her. This is a tragic way to lose someone.
