Abia State Governor Alex Otti has taken a firm stance against negotiating with individuals he describes as "criminals" who have destroyed the state in the past. Otti made this declaration during two separate church services at The Master's Vessel Church and Power World Ministry Int'l in Umuahia on Sunday.
According to Otti, these individuals are now resorting to blackmail and spreading falsehoods against his administration after their attempts to negotiate and secure inclusion in governance failed. Otti emphasized that his administration will not engage with these individuals, stating, "We are not doing anything wrong. Ours is a government that has integrity; we will never negotiate with criminals".Ā¹
Otti's administration is focused on restoring the culture of hard work and contentment among the people of Abia. To achieve this, they are creating an enabling environment that allows citizens to pursue decent livelihoods and take pride in their work and businesses.
One notable initiative is the declaration of free and compulsory education at the basic and secondary school levels. This has led to a massive enrollment of pupils and students in public schools, resulting in significant pressure on the state's educational facilities.
