 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. ANAMBRA POLICE INTERVENES AND ARRESTS A SUSPECT WHO KILLED HIS BROTHER AT 3-3 AREA OVER A MINOR DISAGREEMENT


_As CP Orutugu notes that the incident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of conflict resolution and anger management_


Police Operatives attached to 3-3 Divisional Headquarters acted swiftly on a report on 15th February 2025 and arrested one Christian Ndubuisi who allegedly murdered his elder brother over a minor disagreement.


Preliminary information had it that the suspect during a fight with the deceased, used a bottle he broke and stabbed his elder brother. The victim was rushed to the hospital and was confirmed dead by a doctor on duty  


The Commissioner of Police *CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD* notes that the incident serves as a sober reminder of the importance of conflict resolution and anger management. He noted that it was very tragic to hear that a minor disagreement escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting in the loss of life. 


The *CP* further directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka,  assuring that justice will be served.
