 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.  Anambra State Unveils Unizik Modern  Bus Terminal For Efficient Mass Transit

The Anambra State Government has commissioned the Unizik bus terminal Awka for inter state,intra state and inter Awka city mass transit. The project tagged the first 'Anambra Comfort Line' located at Ifite Awka was powered by Prince Okechukwu Ndigwe ,Managing Director Don- Grey International limited.


The Anambra State Commissioner for Transport Mrs.Patricia Igwebuike commissioned the project with a promise to partner with the managers of the mass transit project.


Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Chief Michael Obiekwe,the commissioner remained hopeful that the Soludo administration is poised to impact meaningfully in the transportation industry. She promised that the state government will give a befitting look to the Ifite Awka Road for the ease of vehicular movement.


The Acting Vice Chancellor of Unizik, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu in a press statement, expressed delight that the project initiated by his predecessor in office has been commissioned in his own time with full expectations of improved transportation system and expected revenue for the state and the managers.


On his part,the chairman of the park,Prof. Greg Obiamalu announced that the project will be managed by Don- Greg company for 25 years after which it will be handed over to the Unizik management. Prof. Obiamalu looked forward to government's partnership with the managers of the park for improved transportation services.


In a remark,the Manager GUO Motors terminal Awka Mr. Obumnaeme Eyisi announced that the company has secured some stands at the park for the commencement of its business activities. Mr. Eyisi urged the state government to provide security at the company's station located near the Mobil filling station along the Enugu- Onitsha express way to forestall the activities of armed robbers attacking early morning travellers patronizing the company.


Others who endorsed the establishment of the park included the President, Uwakwe Ukaegbu International Building Materials Market, Awka Chief Ndubuisi Igwebuike and Chief Ngoli Anekwe an Awka indigene.
