 Kwara Police Arrest Singer Portable for Alleged Criminal Defamation The Kwara State Police Command has arrested popular singer Habeeb Okikilola Badmus, widely known as Portable, following a petition filed by his senior colleague, Okunola Saheed, aka Osupa. In a statement issued on Sunday, the command’s spokesperson, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, revealed that the petition accuses Portable of serious offenses, including criminal defamation, threat to life, incitement, character assassination, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and the use of abusive and insulting language. The statement read, “Given the gravity of these allegations and the supporting evidence, the Command obtained an arrest warrant from a Magistrate Court in Ilorin. On Saturday, April 13, 2025, operatives executed the warrant in Abeokuta, Ogun State, apprehending the suspect at approximately 19:25 hrs.” Portable was immediately brought to Ilorin for further investigation.
