  🇳🇴 Daniel Daga Sentenced by Norwegian Court, Appeals Verdict Molde FK midfielder Daniel Daga has been sentenced to six months in prison by a Norwegian court after being found guilty of committing a sexual act without consent. The Nigerian midfielder joined Molde FK from Enyimba just a year ago as one of the promising young talents to move from the NPFL to Europe. However, Daga has appealed the ruling through his lawyer, meaning the decision is not yet legally final and the case will continue through the Norwegian judicial system. Molde FK have also confirmed that the midfielder will not be included in the club’s matchday squad until further notice while the legal process continues.

 ARREST OF A NOTORIOUS CULTIST/ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT AND RECOVERY OF OPERATIONAL WEAPON:


The Operatives from the Rivers State Police Command's Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) have arrested a notorious cultist and armed robbery suspect with the recovery of Operational weapons.


The suspect, leader of a cultist gang, had been terrorizing farm lands at Uzo Afor road in Okahia Community, Elele, Etche LGA. The gang's activities have caused widespread panic and tension in the community.


Earlier last year, this same gang had engaged Police Operatives of the Command on a gun duel, but were chase away.


On 30th, January, 2025, at about 0630hrs, Operatives arrested Innocent Chigozie m, 35yrs in his hideout through coordinated intelligence. 


During interrogation, the suspect confessed to owning the recovered exhibits, which include:


- One Automatic Pump Action  

   Gun


- Two Live Cartridges


The suspect and exhibits are currently in police custody. Investigation is ongoing, with efforts intensified to apprehend other fleeing gang members and recover their operational weapons.
