 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana. Azuka's Final Interment: Soludo,Obi,Umeh,Agbodike,Onuakalusi,Others Mourn

It was an assemblage of who is who in Onitsha as the remains of the late member who represented Onitsha North one constituency, Hon.Justice Azuka was laid to rest in his country home, Onitsha.


In a funeral oration at a Requiem mass in his honour at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Onitsha,  Governor Chukwuma Soludo conveyed his condolence to Azuka family and promised to assist the wife and children to move on with life.


The governor assured the family that the death of their illustrious son,father and brother will not be in vain as justice will take its full course in meting out appropriate penalties to the perpetrators of the heinous crime. He charged the people of the state and Anambra residents to always give government timely and appropriate information if they see something wrong.


Governor Soludo assured that government will not relent in its efforts to stamp out criminality in the state and make it a liveable and prosperous homeland .


In his condolence message,the member  representing Oshodi/ Isolo federal constituency 2 in Lagos,a labour party stalwart and a native of Mbosi Ihiala LGA,Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi (Esq) expressed great grief at the loss of Hon.Azuka and urged the family to bear the loss with fortitude.


Hon.Onuakalusi appreciated Governor Soludo's bold steps to stamp out criminality in the state and urged that more efforts be made in collaboration with all stakeholders in the state and in the diaspora to rid the state of all criminal elements.


On his part,the labour party caucus leader in the Anambra State House of Assembly and the member representing Onitsha South Constituency two Mr.Jude Umennajiego also consoled the family of the late Azuka and urged every Anambra resident to regard security as a top priority.


Others who conveyed their condolences to the Azuka family included; the member representing Ogbaru federal constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Mr.Afam Ogene,the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security,  Mr.Chiejina Obieze,the Mayor of Onitsha North LGA , Dr.Okwy Maduekwe,a Labour Party former state assembly aspirant, Mr.Joseph Okeke and an APGA stalwart Mr.Okechukwu Cole.


Some dignitaries that graced the occasion included the member representing Ihiala federal constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Dr.Paschal Agbodike,a former Governor of Anambra State Mr. Peter Obi,the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze,some Labour party stalwarts namely Senators Victor Umeh and Tony Nwoye,Chief George Muoghalu, Chief Osseloka Obaze,a one time federal lawmaker, Chief Chuma Nzeribe among others.
