 Chris Brown Avoids Jail After London Nightclub Attack, Gets 8-Month Suspended Sentence Chris Brown will not be going to prison for now after a London court sentenced him over a nightclub attack that left music producer Abraham Diaw injured. The American singer, 37, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, October 26, receiving eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months. His co-defendant, rapper HoodyBaby, whose real name is Omololu Akinlolu, 40, received a four-month suspended sentence, also for 12 months. Both were ordered to pay £1,500 in costs. The case dates back to February 19, 2023 at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where Brown admitted attacking Diaw with a tequila bottle. CCTV footage showed the producer being struck twice on the head, hit on the shoulder, chased, pushed to the floor and kicked while down.  Bauchi Court Sentences Man to 5 Years for Exploiting Minor


A High Court in Bauchi has sentenced a 36-year-old man, Umar Faruq, to five years in prison for exploiting a minor.


The conviction followed a case filed by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Bauchi State Command.


In a statement on its official Facebook page on Friday, NAPTIP confirmed that the offence violated Section 21 of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015.


Delivering judgment, Justice Makama also imposed a N2 million fine on the convict for unlawfully obtaining possession of a two-year-old child for exploitation.


Additionally, Faruq received a separate five-year sentence and a N1 million fine for facilitating the act, as stipulated under Section 13(4)(c) of the same Act. Both sentences will run concurrently.
