 Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment.  Fubara: Nothing Can Stop Me If I Run for Re-election in 2027


Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared that if he decides to seek a second term in 2027, nothing will stand in the way of his victory.


Fubara made this statement on Tuesday while receiving a delegation of traditional rulers and leaders from the three Local Government Areas that make up the Kalabari Ethnic Nationality in Rivers State.


The delegation endorsed his re-election bid, commending his leadership and commitment to infrastructure development, particularly the ₦200 billion Trans-Kalabari Road Project, which is currently under construction.


In response, Governor Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering tangible progress, stressing that impact and service are more important than time spent in office.
