 CBN limits card issuing, merchant acquiring market share for financial institutions The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has introduced new measures aimed at curbing market concentration in the country’s payments ecosystem, including limits on the market share operators can hold across card issuing and merchant acquiring services. Card issuing refers to the provision of payment cards to customers, while merchant acquiring involves processing card payments on behalf of businesses. In a circular signed by Rakiya Yusuf, director of the payments system supervision department, on Monday, the apex bank said the measures are aimed at addressing concerns over market concentration, operational dependence, systemic importance and the localisation of payment transaction data.  GOVERNOR UZODIMMA INAGURATES NEW BOARD FOR IMO STATE UNIVERSITY (IMSU)


Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has today, Friday 31st January 2024, presided over the swearing-in ceremony of reconstituted Board members of Imo State University (IMSU), as approved by the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA), in a move to strengthen the institution's governance.  


During the ceremony, Governor Uzodimma emphasized the importance of transparency and charged the members to carry out their duties with diligence and a deep understanding of their roles as servants of the people.  


The newly appointed board members are:


• Prof. Fr. Philip Anyaehie Ogbonna – Chairman


• Mr. Leo Stan Eke – Member


• Rt. Hon. Chuma Nnaji – Member


• Hon. Godwin Esom Obodo – Member


• Pharm. Chuks Okoronkwo – Member

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
