 The Traditional Ruler of Azumini Ndoki Ancient Kingdom in Ukwa East LGA, Abia State, HRM Eze Edward Eule (Onyenweali X), has dismissed claims by some of his subjects that he abandoned his throne following his temporary absence from the community. This is as six suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the stealing of the community’s electricity transformer, thus plunging the community into darkness. The monarch, who is currently in the U.S, explained that his trip was to attend to personal and professional matters, adding that he will soon return to Nigeria. "I travelled to the United States of America in May 2025 to attend to some professional and personal matters. I am robustly healthy and fine, and I may soon conclude the task of my sojourn here", he said. Prof. Eule accused individuals he described as "mischief-makers operating under the guise of an Interim Ruling Council" of peddling falsehoods and propaganda about his alleged abdication. ...

"I didn't impregnate Nengi" - Bayelsa Governor Diri breaks silence


Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State denies rumors of impregnating former BBNaija star, Nengi.

Social media speculation fueled by controversial blogger Gistlover suggested Nengi welcomed a child for the Governor. The governor’s spokesperson, Dr. Kola Oredipe, dismissed the claims as baseless fabrications. 

Oredipe stated that the governor has no personal relationship with Nengi.

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has refuted claims circulating on social media that he impregnated former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) star, Nengi Rebecca Hampson.


The rumor, which gained traction online, alleged that Nengi had welcomed a child with the governor, who is reportedly married to four wives.

The speculation was fueled by a controversial post from the well-known gossip platform, Gistlover.

The blogger shared a picture of Nengi with a cryptic caption suggesting that she had secretly given birth to the governor’s child and could potentially become his fifth wife.

Reacting to the claims, Dr. Kola Oredipe, the spokesperson for Governor Diri, dismissed the allegations as baseless fabrications.

He clarified that there is no personal relationship between the governor and Nengi, emphasizing that the rumors are the work of mischief-makers attempting to tarnish the governor’s image.


Oredipe further condemned the spread of fake news, stating that such distractions aim to undermine Governor Diri’s rising political profile.

He criticized the misuse of social media for propagating falsehoods, particularly at a time when the state government was focused on developmental projects, such as the recent inauguration of a brand-new road in the state capital, Yenagoa.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity.
