 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. ILLINOIS-AN URBANA HOME INVASION LEAVES A 7-YEAR-OLD CHILD AND A 43-YEAR-OLD MAN DECEASED. (PHOTO).

 Illinois- An Urbana home invasion leaves a 7-year-old child and a 43-year-old man deceased.


Police in Urbana responded to the report of a shooting on the 900 block of Lanore Drive. Once on the scene, police discovered a 7-year-old suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. The child was immediately transported to a local hospital where he unfortunately passed away.


While investigating the crime scene, police soon discovered another victim. A 43-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds near the home. He was also transported to a local hospital where he also unfortunately passed away.


Police believe the deaths are a result of a home invasion. They have not announced if there are any suspects at this time.


Officials are asking anyone with any information regarding the home invasion and subsequent deaths to please call the Urbana Police Department at 1-217-384-2320.
