 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. INDIA: A BRIDES FAMILY CALLED OFF THE WEDDING DUE TO THE GROOM'S LOW CREDIT INFORMATION BUREAU LIMITED SCORE. (PHOTO).

 In a surprising turn of events, a bride’s family in Murtizapur, Maharashtra, called off the wedding due to the groom’s low Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited (CIBIL) score. 

The wedding talks were almost finalized, with both families in agreement. However, just before the marriage was set to be confirmed, the bride’s maternal uncle made an unexpected request – he wanted to check the groom’s CIBIL score.


The report revealed that the groom had multiple loans and was struggling with his finances. Concerned about their daughter’s future, the bride’s family decided to call off the wedding immediately. “Why marry a boy who is already drowning in debt?” the bride’s uncle argued, with the rest of the family agreeing with his concerns. As a result, the marriage talks ended abruptly.


Traditionally, arranged marriages in India have focused on factors such as horoscope matching and family backgrounds. However, this incident highlights the growing importance of financial credibility in marriage decisions. In this case, the groom’s financial struggles were seen as a dealbreaker, and the family prioritized financial stability over other traditional considerations.


This case underscores how financial responsibility is now being added to the list of factors considered in marriage decisions. It’s clear that a low CIBIL score might have wider consequences than just affecting loan approvals – it could also impact personal relationships and marriage prospects.
