 PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY   President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday.    A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria.   Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary.  I’ve Resumed as Lagos Assembly Speaker – Obasa Declares


Impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has announced his return as the parliament’s leader.


Obasa made this declaration on Thursday after arriving at the Assembly complex with armed security operatives.


“I’ve resumed, and I remain the Speaker of the Assembly,” he stated.


Obasa was removed from office on January 13, 2025, by Lagos lawmakers over allegations of misappropriation while he was in the United States.


Following his impeachment, Deputy Speaker Mojisola Meranda was appointed and sworn in as his replacement.


However, upon his return, Obasa challenged his removal, arguing that due process was not followed in his impeachment.
