 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  I’ve Resumed as Lagos Assembly Speaker – Obasa Declares


Impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has announced his return as the parliament’s leader.


Obasa made this declaration on Thursday after arriving at the Assembly complex with armed security operatives.


“I’ve resumed, and I remain the Speaker of the Assembly,” he stated.


Obasa was removed from office on January 13, 2025, by Lagos lawmakers over allegations of misappropriation while he was in the United States.


Following his impeachment, Deputy Speaker Mojisola Meranda was appointed and sworn in as his replacement.


However, upon his return, Obasa challenged his removal, arguing that due process was not followed in his impeachment.
