 LAWMA Waste, Investigation, Surveillance and Enforcement operatives on night duty have apprehended two environmental offenders along the Jibowu and Ojota corridors of Ikorodu Road for engaging in illegal waste collection and indiscriminate disposal of refuse at unauthorized locations. The suspects, were arrested during routine surveillance operations after being found carrying out activities that constitute environmental nuisance and undermine approved waste management processes, despite repeated warnings and sensitization efforts. The offenders are being transferred to the Oshodi Task Force Office for prosecution through the Mobile Court in accordance with the environmental protection laws of Lagos State. LAWMA reiterates that illegal waste collection and indiscriminate dumping remain punishable offences.  Kaduna Is Dirtier Than Ever – PDP Youth Leader, Muhammed Kadade Questions Alleged Decline In Kaduna’s Cleanliness


The National Youth Leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Muhammad Kadade Suleiman, has raised concerns over the alleged decline in cleanliness across Kaduna State, questioning the management of the Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority.


In a Facebook post, Suleiman compared the current state of the environment to Agbogbloshie, a well-known waste-ridden area in Ghana, and called for improved sanitation efforts.


"Please, who is heading the Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority? The state is so dirty now. Kaduna State, which used to be very clean, can now be seen as dirty as Agbogbloshie. Very unfortunate!" he said.
