Nicole Kidman recalls the heartbreaking moment she found out her mom died Nicole Kidman has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she learned of her mother Janelle’s death just as she was about to accept a best actress award at the Venice International Film Festival.  The Babygirl star recalled being backstage when she received the news, saying she returned to her room “completely devastated” and unsure how she would move forward without her mother, who had been such a central part of her life. She described the “harrowing” attempt to leave Venice in the middle of the night to return to Australia, only to turn back, overwhelmed and alone.  Director Halina Reijn later read a statement on Kidman’s behalf, dedicating the award to Janelle and acknowledging the collision of art and life in that painful moment. In the days following, Nicole and her sister Antonia shared a joint message of gratitude on Instagram, thanking friends and fans for their condolences and asking for...

 Kanye West deactivates X

account after controversial rants

Kanye West has once again left X app, deleting his account on Sunday, just as the Super Bowl was taking place. His exit followed a controversial Super Bowl ad that reminded many social media users of the Joker’s ominous broadcasts in the Batman movies.

Kanye’s departure from X came shortly after his unexpected Super Bowl commercial aired nationwide. In the ad, he claimed that he had spent all the production money on his new dental work and, as a result, filmed the commercial using just an iPhone. He directed viewers to visit his website, Yeezy.com.

One X user, known as “kira,” pointed out that the ad resembled a scene from The Dark Knight, where the Joker delivers a chaotic message to Gotham City. Other users joined in, posting side-by-side comparisons of Kanye’s ad and Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the villain.

Before deactivating his Twitter account, he had expressed his gratitude to Elon Musk for providing him with a platform to express himself openly and stated that utilizing the online world as a sounding board had been a therapeutic experience for him.

Before logging out, Ye compared the whole experience to an Ayahuasca journey, thanking those who engaged with his posts and shared their energy with him. He concluded his farewell message by hinting at a future reconnection with his audience and bid them a good afternoon and good night.

Moments before quitting the platform — or being forced to quit it — the “Vultures” rapper took aim at Taylor Swift as the singer attended the Super Bowl 2025 to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Throughout the match-up, the 14-time Grammy winner appeared on the Jumbotron — and was even booed by Eagles fans during one now-viral moment.

West, who has been taking aim at the “Cruel Summer” singer for years, took to X during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, writing, “IF ITS ABOUT THE CULTURE … WHY ARE WE LETTING TAYLOR SWIFT BE SEEN ON TV SINGING A SONG ABOUT TAKING A BLACK MAN DOWN AND ACCUSING OF THINGS THAT CAN TAKE A BLACK MAN DOWN FOR LIFE.”

The rapper — who shares four children with ex-wife Kim Kardashian — went on to drag Lamar and the showbiz world, adding, “KENDRICK IS BEING USED BY THESE WHITE PEOPLE AND JEWS AND SO AM I.”

“AS I TWEET IN CODE WORDS AD KISS ELONS ASS AND BEG HIM TO NOT CANCEL MY ACCOUNT,” he went on, adding that he was desperate to main his troublesome social media presence.

The rapper’s account has now been wiped clear of any past tweets, and simply reads, “This account doesn’t exist.”

In the lead-up to West’s departure from the platform, the “Jesus Walks” rapper kicked off his short-lived return to the spotlight by pulling a shocking stunt at the Grammys red carpet alongside wife Bianca Censori.

The duo made headlines after Censori, 30, took off her fur coat in front of a sea of cameras to reveal a sheer, barely-there minidress without a bra or underwear.

Later that day, West revealed in an interview that he was diagnosed with autism after initially receiving an incorrect diagnosis for bipolar disorder. He also revealed that he stopped taking his bipolar disorder medication.

Hours later, West took to X to unleash a non-stop rant during which he voiced his support for Sean “Diddy” Combs and Chris Brown — both of whom have faced sexual abuse allegations as the former currently remains incarcerated.

West’s posts on the platform grew increasingly vulgar and disturbing, as he admitted to having “dominion” over his wife, praising Adolf Hitler, writing: “Hitler was sooooo fresh.”

“I’m racist stereotypes exist for a reason and they all be true,” he wrote in the since-deleted tweets. “Some of my best friends are Jewish and I don’t trust any of them.”

“I’m a Nazi,” he went on, adding, “I love Hitler.” He then withdrew his apology to the Jewish community for past anti-Semitic comments before unleashing a slew of new ones aimed at the community.

The rapper also raised Musk as “the most lit person that [has] ever been on Twitter,” adding that the Tesla CEO “stole my Nazi swag.”

The rapper then professed his love for pornography, before posting several porn videos on the platform, which allows nudity.
