 El-Rufai to remain in custody as court adjourns bail application to April 14 Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of a Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, to April 14th. The bail application of the former governor came up before the court today. April 1. The court adjourned the case after listening to arguments from both the defence and prosecution  El-Rufai was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conversion of public property and money laundering. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The court ordered that he remain in ICPC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on the fixed date. The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by DSS officials.

 LAGOS NSCDC PARADES ONE RAPE SUSPECT, WARNS UNREPENTANT PERSONS TO DESIST FROM ACT OR FACE WRATH.


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command today, Monday, 17th February, 2025, paraded, one ( 1 ) Mr Wasiu Agbaraojo, male, aged 56 years, from Lagos State suspected, to have forcefully, had the carnal knowledge of a minor ( name withheld ), female, aged 12 years from Lagos State.


The Magbon divisional office of the Lagos State Command obtained, a tip off, from a female friend ( name withheld  ), of the victim, who happened, to be the eye witness of the inhumane incidence.


The eye witness ( name withheld ) also gave her account of the incidence, which she saw clearly, as she peeped through the window of Mr Agbaraojo's room upon after suspecting something fishy was going on there according to her.


The victim's friend also told the investigation team of the command that her friend was lured into the room of Mr Agbaraojo, when he bought cooked rice from her and also gave her extra five hundred Naira ( N500 ). She said that the suspect also threatened her not to tell her parents until her grandmother ( name withheld ) later got to know about the incidence on Tuesday, 11th February, 2025.


The NSCDC, Lagos State Command arrested, the suspect immediately, on Tuesday, 11th February, 2025, upon receiving the report, from the victim's grandmother in Magbon, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State.


Further investigation into the matter has also revealed that the suspect, Mr Agbaraojo is a husband to about three ( 3 ) wives and has eight ( 8 ) children from his wives. Mr Agbaraojo also  has a last child that is just one ( 1 ) year old.


The NSCDC, Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro  has ordered that the matter be thoroughly investigated and culprit brought to book. 


He said that this will serve as deterrence to all others that still remains unrepentant in the society. He however, warns these unscrupulous elements good at destroying our girl children to desist, from the evil act or face the full wrath of the law.
