 LAWMA Waste, Investigation, Surveillance and Enforcement operatives on night duty have apprehended two environmental offenders along the Jibowu and Ojota corridors of Ikorodu Road for engaging in illegal waste collection and indiscriminate disposal of refuse at unauthorized locations. The suspects, were arrested during routine surveillance operations after being found carrying out activities that constitute environmental nuisance and undermine approved waste management processes, despite repeated warnings and sensitization efforts. The offenders are being transferred to the Oshodi Task Force Office for prosecution through the Mobile Court in accordance with the environmental protection laws of Lagos State. LAWMA reiterates that illegal waste collection and indiscriminate dumping remain punishable offences. MOHBAD'S DEATH: COURT EXONERATES NAIRA MARLEY, SAM LARRY, PRIMEBOY. (PHOTO).

 A Magistrate Court has acquitted Nigerian singer Abdulazeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, of any wrongdoing in the death of fellow artist Aloba Oladimeji lleriOluwa, also known as Mohbad. The court's decision was based on the legal advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Lagos, which stated that Naira Marley had no case to answer.


Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje also freed music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad's former manager, Opere Babatunde, of any involvement in Mohbad's death.


However, the DPP announced that it will prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad's, for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. The prosecution will take place at the Magistrate Court.
