 Nigerian makes US Most Wanted List over $1m fraud A Nigerian, Onoriode Ezewu, has been named on the United States Department of Labour’s first-ever Most Wanted List over allegations of money laundering involving fraudulent unemployment benefit claims worth more than $1m. The department’s Office of Inspector General unveiled the list on its website on Wednesday, naming 16 fugitives wanted in cases involving alleged fraud, identity theft, money laundering, labour trafficking and other offences. According to the agency, the cases collectively involve more than $55m allegedly stolen from American taxpayers.  Nasarawa Governor Fires Special Advisers, Aides Over Poor Performance


Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has dismissed all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants, citing their failure to effectively implement government policies and programs.


He announced the immediate dismissal on Friday during the swearing-in of the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, at the Government House in Lafia.


At the event, Commodore Yahaya Owuna (rtd.) was also inaugurated as the sole administrator of Udege Administrative Area, alongside the newly appointed chairman and board members of the College of Education, Akwanga.


Governor Sule emphasized that the reshuffle aims to enhance governance and improve service delivery in the state. While acknowledging the contributions of the dismissed aides, he thanked them for their service and urged them to continue supporting the state’s development.
