The National Assembly has reversed its earlier decision on the 2025 budget bill, passed last week, to rectify errors in capital and recurrent expenditure allocations.
Both the Senate and House of Representatives had approved the bill on Thursday, February 13. However, while the overall budget remains ā¦54.9 trillion, adjustments were madeācapital expenditure was reduced by over ā¦500 billion, while the same amount was added to recurrent expenditure.
According to reports, the revised figures place recurrent expenditure at ā¦13.588 trillion and capital expenditure at ā¦23.439 trillion.
The budget has sparked mixed reactions, with some critics expressing concerns that the adjustments could contribute to rising inflation.
