 KADIRS Warns Residents Against Fake Revenue Collectors, Introduces E-Demand Notice As Sole Payment Authorization The Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has cautioned taxpayers and residents of Kaduna State against making revenue payments without first obtaining an official E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice), warning that fraudsters may exploit outdated payment processes to defraud the public. In a public announcement issued on Thursday, KADIRS said the move forms part of its ongoing efforts to automate revenue collection and enhance transparency across the state.  The agency disclosed that manual demand notices previously used for Local Government revenue collection have been phased out and are no longer recognized. According to KADIRS, the E-Demand Notice (Pay Advice) has officially replaced the former Local Government Harmonized Demand Notice and is now the only valid document for on-the-spot taxpayer assessment through the state's Central Billing System.  Obasa’s Supporters Storm Lagos Assembly, Demand Reinstatement


Supporters of Mudashiru Obasa, the ousted Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, gathered at the assembly complex on Thursday, calling for his reinstatement.


Obasa arrived in the afternoon, escorted by security aides, as a viral video showed his supporters holding placards and chanting in his favor.


He was removed as Speaker on January 13 while abroad, with Mojisola Meranda swiftly replacing him. Upon his return on January 25, he was met by a large crowd of loyalists.


Since his removal, Obasa has contested its validity, maintaining that he remains the legitimate Speaker. Meanwhile, speculation is growing that Meranda is facing increasing pressure to resign.


Earlier today, reports emerged that security aides assigned to the current Speaker had been withdrawn, further fueling uncertainty over the assembly's leadership.
