 LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom.  Ooni welcomes Olori Ashley, son to palace after 5 months


Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has welcomed his wife Olori Ashley Ogunwusi and their son, Prince Ademakinwa, to the palace in Ife, Osun State.

The king threw a grand homecoming ceremony for them on Friday.

Traditional rulers, dignitaries and well-wishers gathered at the palace to welcome the queen and prince.

Prince Ademakinwa was born on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Princess Royal Hospital in London, United Kingdom.

The Ooni announced his child’s birth on Instagram, saying: “…Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling house combined to the Royal throne of Oduduwa.”

Olori Ashley revealed she had a miscarriage of twins at 14 weeks in 2023.

In an Instagram post, she wrote: “Even though the enemies tried in our relationship for about a decade, but Olodumare has remained faithful in our lives. Last year was a little dark as our set of twins gained their wings at 14 weeks, but Olodumare remained faithful, he said What you need is a son to carry your forbears linage, a double CROWN PRINCE, now he has blessed us with our gorgeous son, who is not just only a prince of the source, but our CROWN PRINCE from both sides of his parents.”

Oba Ogunwusi married Olori Ashley as his fourth wife in October 2022.
