 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East.  Ooni welcomes Olori Ashley, son to palace after 5 months


Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has welcomed his wife Olori Ashley Ogunwusi and their son, Prince Ademakinwa, to the palace in Ife, Osun State.

The king threw a grand homecoming ceremony for them on Friday.

Traditional rulers, dignitaries and well-wishers gathered at the palace to welcome the queen and prince.

Prince Ademakinwa was born on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Princess Royal Hospital in London, United Kingdom.

The Ooni announced his child’s birth on Instagram, saying: “…Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling house combined to the Royal throne of Oduduwa.”

Olori Ashley revealed she had a miscarriage of twins at 14 weeks in 2023.

In an Instagram post, she wrote: “Even though the enemies tried in our relationship for about a decade, but Olodumare has remained faithful in our lives. Last year was a little dark as our set of twins gained their wings at 14 weeks, but Olodumare remained faithful, he said What you need is a son to carry your forbears linage, a double CROWN PRINCE, now he has blessed us with our gorgeous son, who is not just only a prince of the source, but our CROWN PRINCE from both sides of his parents.”

Oba Ogunwusi married Olori Ashley as his fourth wife in October 2022.
