Blaming opposition for hunger is ‘delusion’, Atiku tells Tinubu Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of blaming the opposition for the country’s economic hardship. He said the President was trying to evade responsibility for his administration’s policies. Tinubu had earlier on Saturday blamed his political opponents for hunger and poverty in the country while speaking at the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna. “I hear my opponent talking about hunger, poverty. Who created it? They did! They created the hunger, they created the poverty. We are trying to eradicate it,” the President said.  Osun Crisis: Reinstated LG Chairmen Threaten Workers with Dismissal for Non-Compliance


The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has issued a 72-hour ultimatum for local government workers to resume work or face termination, following the reinstatement of its chairmen. The party accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of plotting to incite violence against the reinstated officials using Amotekun and alleged militants from Oyo and the Niger Delta.


The APC further claimed that PDP leaders, including Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed, were involved in efforts to destabilize the state. It called on security agencies to investigate suspected armed groups allegedly being trained at the Chief of Staff’s residence.


Meanwhile, the Osun State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) reaffirmed its directive for local government workers to withdraw their services due to safety concerns, emphasizing its commitment to protecting workers’ rights amidst the political crisis.
