The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has issued a 72-hour ultimatum for local government workers to resume work or face termination, following the reinstatement of its chairmen. The party accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of plotting to incite violence against the reinstated officials using Amotekun and alleged militants from Oyo and the Niger Delta.
The APC further claimed that PDP leaders, including Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed, were involved in efforts to destabilize the state. It called on security agencies to investigate suspected armed groups allegedly being trained at the Chief of Staffās residence.
Meanwhile, the Osun State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) reaffirmed its directive for local government workers to withdraw their services due to safety concerns, emphasizing its commitment to protecting workersā rights amidst the political crisis.
