 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Police Arrest Robbery Suspects, Recover Stolen Car and Valuables

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly robbing a Toyota Corolla, laptops, and a mobile phone.

Confirming the arrest on Wednesday, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that officers from the Surulere Division in the Ikorodu area apprehended the suspects around 2:00 a.m. following a tipoff from the car owner.

He explained, “Police operatives swiftly responded and pursued the robbers as they attempted to escape with the stolen vehicle and other valuables. Their efforts led to the immediate arrest of two suspects and the recovery of the car, while one suspect managed to escape.”

Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, praised the officers for their swift action and directed that those involved in the arrest be commended at the command headquarters.

Additionally, he ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yaba, for further investigation, while efforts continue to track down the remaining suspect and recover all stolen items.
