 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Police Arrest Two Suspected Armed Robbers During Insurance Enforcement in Kogi


The Nigeria Police in Kogi State have arrested two suspected armed robbers, identified as Mohammed Chelim and Oneh Mohammed, along the Harbour Bay-Egume Road.


The suspects were apprehended during the enforcement of Third-Party Insurance, following the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.


Recovered Weapons and Investigation


Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), William Ovye Aya, confirmed the arrests in a statement on Friday, revealing that the suspects were found in possession of two locally made pistols.


“During interrogation, they failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for their movements, prompting a search that led to the discovery of a locally made pistol,” the statement read.


Police Commitment to Security


The Commissioner of Police, CP Miller Dantawaye, commended the officers for their vigilance and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to working with other security agencies to eliminate criminal activities in the state.
