LIST OF NINE SENATORS THAT DEFECT TO ADC Nine Senators from across three political parties have notified the senate of their defection to the African Democratic Congress, ADC. Senators Victor Umeh, Tony Nwoye and Ireti Kingibe moved from the Labor party to ADC. Five others, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Binos Yaroe, Lawal Adamu Usman, Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo and Augustine Akobundu resigned from the PDP to ADC. Enyinnaya Abaribe, who was the only APGA member in the Senate, also defected to ADC. However, Senate has given Senator Abaribe one week to reconsider his defection because his explanation that he dumped APGA because he was  sacked by the party is not justified, as it is not covered by the constitution.

 R2 Million Sports Complex Washed Away: Greater Tubatse Municipality’s Costly Blunder


Greater Tubatse Municipality wasted R2million constructing sports complex in a donga at Praktiseer during 2002 and heavy rains washed it away.

An audit conducted by Sizwe Ntsaluba Vsp Forensics revealed that R88 000 allocated to youth projects may have been taken.


According to the report R39 631,77 of the money could not be accounted for even though R21 500 was spend on unfinished car wash project that was latter demolished to pave ways for construction of a taxi rank.


The income generated from the car wash was deposited into personal savings account of former ward councillor Collins Dlamini now Community Development Coodinator ‘s younger brother Sipho Chauke as it was not registered with the Department of Social welfare as a section 21 company, Non profit organisation(NPO).
