 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates.  R2 Million Sports Complex Washed Away: Greater Tubatse Municipality’s Costly Blunder


Greater Tubatse Municipality wasted R2million constructing sports complex in a donga at Praktiseer during 2002 and heavy rains washed it away.

An audit conducted by Sizwe Ntsaluba Vsp Forensics revealed that R88 000 allocated to youth projects may have been taken.


According to the report R39 631,77 of the money could not be accounted for even though R21 500 was spend on unfinished car wash project that was latter demolished to pave ways for construction of a taxi rank.


The income generated from the car wash was deposited into personal savings account of former ward councillor Collins Dlamini now Community Development Coodinator ‘s younger brother Sipho Chauke as it was not registered with the Department of Social welfare as a section 21 company, Non profit organisation(NPO).
