 NLC backs new SSG Chiamaka Nnake, Seeks Workers Welfare  By Ukpa Ewa  The Organized Labour in Anambra State has pledged support to the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, while urging her to place the interest of Anambra and workers’ welfare at the forefront of her administration. The labour delegation, led by Comrade Humphrey Emeka Nwafor of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Comrade Chris Ogbonna of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), paid a courtesy visit to the new SSG at the Light House in Awka. Speaking during the visit, Comrade Nwafor said the office of the SSG plays a key role in government labour relations and called on Mrs. Nnake to ensure Anambra workers are given due attention in government affairs. He also congratulated her on becoming the first female SSG in the state at a young age, describing her appointment as historic.  RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND PRESS RELEASE:


THE RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND COMMENCED ENFORCEMENT OF THIRD-PARTY VEHICLE INSURANCE POLICY.


The Rivers State Police Command has commenced enforcement of the Third-Party Vehicle Insurance Policy, effective today, February 1, 2025. This move is in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM.


The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga A Adepoju, psc, mnips has tasked officers to maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity during the enforcement. He warned against any misconduct that could tarnish the Police image, emphasizing severe sanctions for non-compliance.


The CP while encouraging vehicle owners to obtain the Third-Party Insurance cover promptly, solicited the maximum cooperation of members of the public. 


The enforcement team consists of Divisional Traffic Officers,(DTOs), members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, ?NURTW) and Staff of the Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
